Melbourne
Where the business began, the Melbourne branch is home to a number of our trading operations, as well as our national head office. Wholesale trading in Melbourne is conducted through two separate businesses:
• LaManna Bananas Pty Ltd which conducts all our Banana sales; and
• Verona Fruit Pty Ltd which is for the sale of Avocados, Mangoes, Tomatoes, Grapes, Kiwifruits, Citrus and other seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Melbourne is also home to Fruitology Pty Ltd, which is responsible for importing Kiwifruit from New Zealand and Italy, Citrus and Grapes from California, USA and Avocados from New Zealand. This produce is sourced to provide a year round supply of high quality fresh produce lines to our customer base.
Adelaide
With a long history in the Adelaide produce markets, LaManna Bananas (Adelaide) Pty Ltd is a wholesaler of a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables, with Bananas the major category line.
Brisbane
Wholesale trading in the Brisbane produce markets is conducted through LaManna Bananas Pty Ltd. Led by the State Manager and his team, the Brisbane branch has been in operation for over 15 years. The Brisbane branch sells a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables including Bananas, Avocados, Mangoes, Grapes, Kiwifruits and Citrus.
Brisbane is also home to our Export office. Established to provide a supply of winter vegetables to the New Zealand market, the Export operation is conducted through LaManna Bananas Pty Ltd.
Cairns (Innisfail Region)
The Innisfail region is home to Australian Banana Company Pty Ltd, a company with two independent packing sheds which sort, grade, pack and market Bananas on behalf of small to medium independent growers. The Australian Banana Company Pty Ltd provides a vital avenue to market for these growers.
The region is also home to Innisfail Banana Farming Company Pty Ltd, a joint venture entity established to grow Bananas in the area.
Darwin
Darwin is home to Darwin Banana Farming Company Pty Ltd, a joint venture entity established to grow Bananas in the area. Together with its joint venture partners, LaManna Bananas Pty Ltd has diversified the risk in its Banana sourcing through this vehicle, which has been established outside the traditional banana growing regions in Australia.
Perth
Operating as Fresh Choice WA Pty Ltd this branch sells a full range of fresh fruit and vegetables from the Canning Vale fresh produce markets. Fresh Choice is a joint venture between LaManna Bananas Pty Ltd and Premier Fruits Group Pty Ltd.
Sydney
Wholesale trade in Sydney is done through LaManna Bananas Pty Ltd from both the Sydney Markets and from our own warehouse facilities located close by the market. The team in Sydney focus primarily on Bananas.
